Download the mod
Sovereign Realms is in alpha (early access). Expect bugs, unfinished systems and balance changes from week to week. Most updates keep your world. A few large ones may need a new world; hosted servers keep backups of every world either way.
Sovereign Realms is free under the Sovereign Realms License: play it, run servers with it, make videos of it and include it in CurseForge or Modrinth modpacks. Rehosting its files, changing it or reusing its content elsewhere needs permission. The launcher profile also turns on the Pixel Perfection textures the game is shown with here (by XSSheep and Nova Wostra, CC BY-SA 4.0); you can switch them off in Options, Resource Packs.
With a launcher profile
The easiest way. Works with Prism Launcher, the Modrinth App, and other launchers that open .mrpack files. The profile installs the right Minecraft, NeoForge and mod versions together.
- 1. Install Prism Launcher or the Modrinth App.
- 2. Download the profile below and open it with the launcher.
- 3. Sign in with your Microsoft account and press Play.
With the official launcher
- 1. Run the NeoForge installer for NeoForge 26.1.2.30-beta and choose “Install client”.
- 2. Open the Minecraft Launcher once with the new NeoForge profile, then close the game.
- 3. Put the mod jar below into the mods folder of your game directory.
- 4. In the launcher, raise the profile's memory to at least 6 GB (Installations → Edit → More options).
Requirements
- Minecraft

- Mod version
- 0.3.8-greater.4
Joining a server
Add the server's address under Multiplayer. If your mod version doesn't match the server's, the server tells you which version it runs and links back here. Hosted servers that are asleep wake when you try to join; try again after about a minute.
To play alone, create a new world and choose the world type Sovereign Realms: The Known World, Greater. Raising all 196 towns takes a few hours on a fast computer, so a hosted server, which comes with the world already raised, is quicker to start.
