Sovereign Realms License
Sovereign Realms is copyright © 2026 Brice Edelman. "Sovereign Realms" here means the mod: its code, art, models, textures, sounds, building plans, generated world data, translations and documentation. All rights are reserved, except for the permissions this license gives you below.
What you may do
- Download Sovereign Realms from sovereignrealmsmod.com, CurseForge or Modrinth, install it, and play it alone or with others.
- Run a Minecraft server with it, for yourself, your friends or a public community. A community server may take donations or charge for access as the Minecraft Usage Guidelines allow, as long as every player gets the same game.
- Make and publish videos, streams, screenshots, guides, wiki pages and reviews of it, and earn money from them through ads, sponsorships or memberships.
- Include it, unchanged, in a modpack published on CurseForge or Modrinth, as long as the pack downloads it from those platforms rather than carrying its own copy, and credits Sovereign Realms with a link to sovereignrealmsmod.com.
- Make resource packs, data packs and add-on mods that work with it, as long as they don't contain any part of it.
What you may not do without written permission
- Share copies of it anywhere else, rehost its files, or distribute a changed version of it.
- Copy, adapt or reuse any of its code, art, building plans, world data or text in another project, or decompile it to do so. Looking at how it works, to report a bug or to make an add-on compatible, is fine.
- Sell it, sell access to it on its own, or bundle it with something you sell.
- Offer it as part of a commercial server-hosting service, for example pre-installed or as a one-click option for paying customers. Hosting at sovereignrealmsmod.com is the exception.
- Use it, or anything in it, to train machine-learning models.
- Use the Sovereign Realms name or crest in a way that suggests your project is official or endorsed.
- Get around the limits of the counsel service, or use a counsel key anywhere but the server it was issued to.
Things you send us
If you send feedback, ideas, bug reports, translations or other material about Sovereign Realms, we may use them freely and without owing you anything. You keep whatever rights you already had in them.
Minecraft
Sovereign Realms is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. It needs Minecraft: Java Edition, which is covered by Mojang's own End User License Agreement. This license covers only Sovereign Realms.
No warranty
Sovereign Realms is in alpha. It is provided as it is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it, including lost worlds or data. Keep backups.
If this license is broken
If you break this license, your permissions under it end at once. They come back if you put things right within 30 days of being told about the problem, unless it happens again.
Changes
New versions of this license are published at sovereignrealmsmod.com/legal/license. Each release of Sovereign Realms is covered by the version that was current when it was published, or by any later version if you choose.
